Pure Wellness Massage Services

Sometimes it is simple enough to say it’s a pain in the neck or point to an area that is all knotted up. I can then recommend the best form of massage to alleviate your pain or relieve your stress. Other times, you can merely tell me how you feel and I’ll use a variety of styles to create a custom session just for you. Of course, if you know what style of massage you prefer just let me know and I’ll be happy to accommodate you.

Techniques Used During Massage

Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage Techniques

Long strokes and kneading of the muscles makes this the most commonly requested massage technique. Generally used in full body sessions to promote relaxation, circulation and relief of muscle tension.

Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger Point Therapy Techniques

Concentrated finger pressure to tender areas and their referring patterns in the muscle which breaks the cycle of spasm and pain.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial Release Techniques

Mild hands-on stretching aimed at relieving connective tissue restrictions.

Deep Tissue

Deep Tissue Massage Techniques

Blend of warming each layer of muscle tissue with long, slow strokes and deep finger pressure releases chronic patterns of tensions, helping the body heal injuries, while improving body alignment and freedom of movement.

Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy Techniques

Use of water (in all forms) to help treat the tissue. Hydrothermal therapy is used in a moist hot towel to relax the tissue. Cryotherapy is used with cold marble stones to treat acute injuries or inflamed tissue.

Therapeutic Exercises

Therapeutic Exercise Techniques

Joint Mobilization, Stretching, Range of Motion, Postural Integration and other exercises are used in most therapeutic sessions.
