On a frosty, crisp November morning 3 Pure Wellness reiki students, a reiki practitioner friend and I met at the Meta House of Milwaukee. We shuffled downstairs to the dining hall where aromas of waffles, bacon, and eggs swirled in the air around us.

Have you heard of 21st Century Stress? Yes, it’s a real thing. Whether we want to admit it or not, our lives are a constant buzzing around, checking emails, posting on facebook, tweeting this and texting that. We’ve actually somehow added to the day to day stress of just living, working, and even playing.
Have you ever had a dream and then it has come true? Ever felt something was going to happen and it does, even without you having proof it would? This is your Third Eye Chakra. The third eye center of the chakra system is an energetic center found in the above and between the brow line. If its depleted, you may feel closed off to your intuition, memory problems or disconnected from the mind.
Kindness, love, no strings attached…. ah, the Heart Chakra. The Heart center of the chakra system is an energetic center found in the general heart area. If its depleted, you may feel depressed, angry, judgmental and lacking in love towards yourself and others.

Most programs that teach Massage Therapists cover the same required techniques. After certification there are even more techniques to learn. Some latch onto the newest, keep their old, throw out this/that, or integrate all of it. After 4 years of being out of school, I’m still learning everyday (even when I get a massage!).
